‘Euphoria’ Season 3: Reports Hint Cassie’s OnlyFans Arc, Rue’s Dark Turn, and a Turbulent New Chapter

New reports suggest Season 3 pushes Euphoria into its boldest, most chaotic era yet — with Cassie, Rue, and Nate heading toward explosive storylines.

With production underway on Euphoria Season 3, new reports are emerging about the show’s most dramatic shifts yet — including a major development for Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie that is already generating intense online discussion. According to Brazilian outlet Omelete, early footage shown at an HBO press event hints that Cassie may launch an OnlyFans account in the new season, setting the stage for one of the series’ most controversial arcs.

The teaser, which has not been released to the public, reportedly shows Cassie and Nate (Jacob Elordi) now engaged. But the relationship appears to be as volatile as ever. Online chatter from outlets such as DiscussingFilm suggests that Nate discovers Cassie’s secret account after seeing her dressed in a Playboy Bunny outfit, taking photos that appear connected to the platform. Nothing has been confirmed by HBO, and the footage has not surfaced, but the rumor has already sparked fan theories about how far creator Sam Levinson intends to push Cassie’s storyline.

there are reports highlight Rue’s trajectory this season, with Zendaya’s character still struggling with substance use and, according to the outlet, becoming entangled with two different groups of drug dealers. At one point, Rue is reportedly kidnapped — a direction that would escalate the danger surrounding the character while deepening the psychological intensity that has defined Zendaya’s award-winning performance. As always with Euphoria, it remains unclear how much of this footage will appear in the final cut.

Earlier leaks from the set captured Sweeney filming a wedding sequence, walking down the aisle on a monogram marked “C&N,” though fans continue to debate whether the moment is literal, imagined, or part of the show’s stylized dream logic.

Beyond plot reveals, Season 3 marks a major transition for the series. Deadline previously reported the new episodes will feature a time jump, shifting the characters out of high school and into their early adult lives. The expanded scope opens up space for new tensions, new environments, and new consequences — fitting for a season that the cast has described as darker and more chaotic than anything that’s come before.

Returning cast members include Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, and Colman Domingo. Laurie (Martha Kelly) and Faye (Chloe Cherry) have been elevated to series regulars, while the new season brings an extensive slate of new faces played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Sharon Stone, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Jessica Blair Herman, Madison Thompson, Bella Podaras, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Sam Trammell.

Several original cast members are not returning, including Barbie Ferreira, Angus Cloud [RIP], Javon Walton, Storm Reid, Algee Smith, and Austin Abrams.

Sydney Sweeney, meanwhile, has been openly enthusiastic about what fans can expect. In a May interview with Empire, she described Season 3 as “unhinged,” adding that Cassie remains one of her most thrilling characters to play. Sweeney emphasized her ongoing creative collaboration with Levinson, recalling how she often pushes scenes further: “I’ll call him and say, ‘Let’s go crazier.’ And he’s all in.”

With Cassie rumored to be navigating notoriety, Nate spiraling into new levels of control and paranoia, and Rue fighting for her life once again, Season 3 appears poised to expand Euphoria’s world while diving deeper into the fractures that have defined its core characters.

An official release date has not yet been announced. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Max.
