HBO’s ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ Unveils Second Teaser

HBO’s Harry Potter ‘s eight-episode first season debuts Christmas 2026.

HBO has released the official second teaser for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first eight-episode season of its book-by-book adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s series. The show debuts Christmas 2026 on HBO, streaming on HBO Max.

Dominic McLaughlin stars as Harry Potter, alongside Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. John Lithgow plays Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer plays Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu plays Severus Snape, and Nick Frost plays Rubeus Hagrid.

The cast also includes Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick, Sirine Saba as Pomona Sprout, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, and Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, among many others rounding out Hogwarts’ students and staff.

Additional cast includes Daniel Rigby and Bel Powley as Vernon and Petunia Dursley, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

Francesca Gardiner writes and executive produces the series, with Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes and executive producing. J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films also executive produce. HBO produces in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros.
