The cast of Colleen Hoover’s thriller hit the red carpet in New York ahead of its October 2 release.

Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett reunited on the red carpet in New York City for the Verity premiere at AMC Lincoln Square 13.

Michael Showalter directs from a screenplay by Nick Antosca, adapted from Colleen Hoover‘s bestselling novel. Amazon MGM Studios releases the psychological erotic thriller in theaters on October 2. Ismael Cruz Cordova, Brady Wagner, Irina Dvorovenko, K.K. Moggie and Michael Abbott Jr. round out the cast.

Johnson plays Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who moves into the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for renowned author Verity Crawford (Hathaway). When Lowen finds what look like Verity’s autobiographical notes, their disturbing confessions about Verity’s husband, Jeremy (Hartnett), leave her struggling to tell fiction from reality, and attraction from manipulation.

Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund, Stacey Sher, Michael Showalter, Jordana Mollick, Anne Hathaway and Colleen Hoover produce. Kerry Orent, Dakota Johnson and Lauren Levine serve as executive producers.
