What Time Do the Oscar Nominations Start?
The 2026 Oscar nominations begin at 5:30 a.m. PT and are revealed in two waves.
The first group of categories starts at 5:30 a.m. PT, followed by the second batch at 5:41 a.m. PT, including Best Picture.

What Happens After Nominations Morning?
Once the nominations are set, the Oscar race enters its most intense phase. Final voting for the Academy Awards begins February 26 and runs through March 5.
The 98th Academy Awards will take place Sunday, March 15, airing live on ABC and streaming on Hulu from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. PT, with Conan O’Brien set to host.
