Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman will reveal the 98th Oscars nominations live on January 22, as awards season officially hits its most high-stakes week.

Awards season is about to shift into overdrive.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that Oscar-nominated actor Danielle Brooks and actor Lewis Pullman will present the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards in a live, global broadcast on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

The live presentation begins at 5:30 a.m. PST / 8:30 a.m. EST and will include nominations across all 24 Academy Award categories. For film fans, industry watchers, and anyone tracking the race in real time, this is the morning that locks the narrative in place — the final list that defines the Oscars conversation all the way through March.

The announcement will stream worldwide on Oscar.com, Oscars.org, and the Academy’s official digital platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, with additional coverage airing through ABC’s Good Morning America and streaming on ABC News Live, Disney+, Hulu, and other distribution outlets. The Academy also confirmed that American Sign Language (ASL) services will be available on YouTube, and live captions will be supported across streaming platforms.

The nomination presentation will be split into two segments. The first block begins at 5:30 a.m. PST and will include categories such as supporting acting, animated short, costume design, live action short, makeup and hairstyling, original score, and both screenplay categories. The second block begins at 5:41 a.m. PST and includes the headline-heavy announcements — including leading acting races, animated feature, Best Picture, directing, cinematography, international feature, original song, production design, sound, and visual effects.

The 98th Oscars will take place Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, airing live on ABC and streaming live on Hulu, with the ceremony broadcast in more than 200 territories worldwide.
