The Smashing Machine | Official Trailer HD | A24

A24 releases the official trailer for The Smashing Machine, the highly anticipated biopic starring Dwayne Johnson as Mark Kerr, the troubled wrestling and MMA champion whose career was as brutal as his demons. Directed by Benny Safdie, the film strips away the glitz of stardom to reveal the toll of fame, addiction, and physical sacrifice. Set in the early days of mixed martial arts, The Smashing Machine explores the punishing cost of being “the best” in a sport with few rules and fewer boundaries. Johnson’s transformation is striking, shedding his charisma for something rawer, sadder, and infinitely more human. This is not a redemption arc—it’s a reckoning.
