‘Saturday Night Live’ Sets Season 51 Hosts: Ryan Gosling, Harry Styles, Connor Storrie & More

NBC’s late-night institution locks in a starry Season 51 lineup following its Winter Olympics pause.

Saturday Night Live is gearing up for a major Season 51 rollout, unveiling a packed slate of hosts and musical guests that stretches from fall through early spring. Following the historic momentum of its 50th anniversary season, NBC’s flagship sketch comedy series is doubling down on marquee star power — with names like Ryan Gosling, Harry Styles and Connor Storrie headlining the post–Winter Olympics stretch.

Season 51 officially kicks off October 4 with Bad Bunny returning as host for the second time, joined by first-time musical guest Doja Cat. The early fall run leans heavily into proven comedy talent and buzzy pop culture figures. Former cast member Amy Poehler returns to Studio 8H on October 11, marking her third hosting stint, followed by Sabrina Carpenter pulling double duty as both host and musical guest on October 18 — a move that continues SNL’s recent strategy of tapping crossover music stars.

November keeps the momentum strong. Miles Teller returns to host on November 1 with Brandi Carlile performing, while comedian Nikki Glaser makes her hosting debut on November 8 alongside musical guest sombr. Glen Powell, continuing his steady ascent in Hollywood, takes the stage November 15 with Olivia Dean. The month reflects SNL’s ongoing balancing act between established movie stars, rising comedic voices and music-driven cultural moments.

December’s lineup brings familiar favorites back into the fold. Melissa McCarthy returns for her sixth time hosting on December 6 with Dijon as musical guest. Josh O’Connor makes his hosting debut December 13 opposite Lily Allen, while the final show of 2025 features Ariana Grande hosting for the third time with Cher making her long-awaited return to the SNL stage — her first appearance since 1987 — in what is likely to be one of the season’s most talked-about episodes.

The new year opens with a trio of first-time hosts. Finn Wolfhard leads the January 17 episode with A$AP Rocky performing, followed by Teyana Taylor on January 24 with Geese. Alexander Skarsgard hosts January 31 with Cardi B — an episode that also marks a major milestone as SNL’s 1,000th regular broadcast since the show’s 1975 debut.

After a brief hiatus for the Winter Olympics, the show returns February 28 with Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie making his hosting debut alongside Mumford & Sons. The March run continues the season’s emphasis on high-wattage names. Ryan Gosling returns March 7 for his fourth hosting appearance with Gorillaz performing for the first time on the show. One week later, Harry Styles closes out the announced slate by pulling double duty as host and musical guest on March 14, marking his second time in the dual role.

Behind the scenes, Season 51 also ushers in one of the show’s most significant cast shakeups in years. Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim have exited the series, while five new featured players — Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska — join the ensemble. Returning repertory players include Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Marcello Hernandez, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Ashley Padilla, Sarah Sherman, Kenan Thompson, Jane Wickline and Bowen Yang.

The refreshed cast combined with an aggressively star-driven host lineup suggests NBC is positioning Season 51 as both a reset and a continuation — honoring the show’s legacy while chasing new viral moments in an increasingly fragmented late-night landscape.
