Late Fame follows Ed Saxberger, an obscure New York poet whose long-forgotten collection of poems is unexpectedly rediscovered by a group of young artists who hail him as a literary genius. Drawn into their creative circle and captivated by the enigmatic actress Gloria, Ed begins questioning whether his newfound recognition is genuine or simply another fleeting performance. As his artistic passion is reignited, he must confront the meaning of success, relevance, and legacy later in life.
Directed by Kent Jones and written by Samy Burch, based on the novella by Arthur Schnitzler, Late Fame stars Willem Dafoe, Greta Lee, Edmund Donovan, Jake Lacy, and Clark Johnson. The Magnolia Pictures drama premiered at the Venice International Film Festival before screening at the New York Film Festival.
