Today’s TV renewals are a win for shows audiences love more than critics do, from Netflix’s ‘The Hunting Wives’ to Hulu’s ‘All’s Fair’ and USA’s ‘Anna Pigeon.’
Wednesday’s TV renewals and return dates share one thing: none of these shows needed critics to survive. Netflix handed The Hunting Wives an early third season before its second has even premiered, Hulu set a Nov. 4 return for Ryan Murphy and Kim Kardashian‘s All’s Fair, and USA Network renewed its national park mystery Anna Pigeon. All three are soapy, bingeable or comfortably old-school, and all three found big audiences on their own terms.
‘The Hunting Wives’ Season 3 (Netflix)

Netflix is not waiting to see how season two performs. Rebecca Cutter’s thriller, starring Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow as members of a cutthroat circle of Texas socialites, has been renewed for an eight-episode third season ahead of season two’s Thanksgiving Day premiere on Nov. 26. Cutter, who adapted May Cobb’s novel, promised fans that season three will be even more scandalous than what comes before it.
The early pickup makes sense once you look at the numbers. Originally developed for Starz, the series moved to Netflix after Starz split from Lionsgate and premiered in July 2025, when it topped the U.S. streaming charts and spent six weeks on Nielsen’s streaming originals chart. Snow has stayed busy in the meantime, too, joining Sydney Sweeney in Lionsgate’s The Housemaid sequel.
‘All’s Fair’ Season 2 (Hulu)

Few shows have been as critic-proof as All’s Fair. The legal drama about an all-female divorce firm, co-created by Ryan Murphy and starring Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close, earned a 5 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes in its first season. It also drew 3.2 million views in its opening days, Hulu’s biggest scripted debut in three years. Viewers won the argument.
Season two returns with three episodes on Wednesday, Nov. 4, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, with new episodes weekly. The trailer promises more of everything, and the guest list is pure Murphy: Denise Richards, Jaime Pressly, Margo Martindale and Dorinda Medley join a roster that already included Bob the Drag Queen and Monet X Change. We first flagged the show with its original teaser and put season one on our November watch list last year.
‘Anna Pigeon’ Season 2 (USA Network)

On cable, USA Network renewed Anna Pigeon two days before its Oct. 9 season finale. Tracy Spiridakos, best known for her years on NBC‘s Chicago P.D., plays a national park ranger who solves crimes, adapted from Nevada Barr’s novels. Its premiere drew 2.35 million viewers over seven days, USA’s best scripted debut since 2018, and it is the year’s top new scripted drama on ad-supported cable.
The timing is a nice bit of symmetry: Spiridakos’s old show, Chicago P.D., returns tonight on NBC as part of the One Chicago lineup. For USA, now owned by Versant, the renewal is part of a deliberate return to the easygoing procedural style that made the network a hit in the 2000s, alongside The Rainmaker, whose second season premieres Oct. 16.
