‘MobLand’ Season 2 Sets September Premiere as Tom Hardy Returns to Paramount+ Crime Drama

Tom Hardy is back as Harry Da Souza when ‘MobLand’ returns for Season 2 on Sept. 18, though his future beyond the new season remains unclear.

‘MobLand’ is heading back to Paramount+ this fall.

The crime drama will return for its second season on Sept. 18, with Tom Hardy back as Harry Da Souza, the street-smart fixer caught in the middle of a violent criminal empire. The new season will continue the story of the Harrigan family as they attempt to maintain power while rival forces close in and internal fractures threaten to tear them apart.

According to Paramount+’s Season 2 synopsis, the Harrigans will struggle to present a united front as rising enemies challenge their control. Harry, meanwhile, will be forced to navigate a dangerous balancing act as tensions within the family escalate. With violence spreading through every corner of their world, loyalty becomes fragile, safety becomes temporary and the battle for power leaves little room for mercy.

Hardy’s return for Season 2 is confirmed, but his future with the series beyond that remains uncertain. ‘MobLand’ has not yet been officially renewed for a third season, though production is expected to resume later this year if Paramount+ moves forward. Reports of tension behind the scenes during Season 2, including alleged clashes involving Hardy and producers, have left questions about whether the actor will continue as Harry Da Souza should the series receive another renewal.

Hardy stars alongside Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, who lead the show’s powerful organized crime family. The series follows two mob families locked in a dangerous conflict that threatens to destroy their empires and the people around them.

The ensemble cast also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan and Emily Barber.
