With Season 4, Apple TV is not just reviving Ted Lasso — it is repositioning it. The move into women’s football, combined with a refreshed supporting cast and expanded creative leadership, suggests a series intent on evolving rather than simply extending its legacy.
Whether it can recapture the exact cultural moment of its original run remains to be seen, but the infrastructure around it makes one thing clear: Apple is treating this return as one of its most significant television events of the year.
