Apple TV Unveils First Teaser for ‘Imperfect Women,’ Starring Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington

Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington and Kate Mara in “Imperfect Women,” premiering globally on Apple TV on March 18.

A fractured friendship, a devastating crime, and the secrets women keep anchor Apple TV’s latest psychological thriller.

Apple TV has released the first teaser for Imperfect Women, a new limited psychological thriller starring and executive produced by Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington, with the series set to premiere globally on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

The eight-episode series was unveiled during the 2026 Apple TV Press Day and will debut with its first two episodes, followed by weekly releases through April 29.

Based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, Imperfect Women centers on a crime that tears apart a decades-long friendship between three women. As the investigation unfolds, the series examines guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the quiet compromises that slowly reshape lives. What initially appears to be a singular act of violence becomes a deeper exploration of how even the closest relationships can fracture under the weight of truth.

The series is created for television by Annie Weisman, who also serves as showrunner. Weisman previously collaborated with Apple TV on the critically acclaimed dramedy Physical. Her return signals a tonal shift toward darker, more psychologically driven storytelling.

Joining Moss and Washington is a robust ensemble cast that includes Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, and Wilson Bethel.

POPULAR ON THE CINEMA GROUP

Imperfect Women is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. Executive producers include Moss and Lindsey McManus through Love & Squalor Pictures, Washington and Pilar Savone for Simpson Street, and novelist Araminta Hall alongside writer Kay Oyegun. Lesli Linka Glatter directs and executive produces episodes one, four, and five.

With its star-powered cast and morally complex source material, Imperfect Women positions itself as one of Apple TV’s most prestige-leaning limited series offerings for 2026.
