The pop superstar turned heads in Berlin as she supported fiancé Callum Turner at the ‘Rosebush Pruning’ world premiere.
Dua Lipa delivered one of the Berlin Film Festival’s most unexpected red carpet moments Saturday night, making a surprise Valentine’s Day appearance alongside fiancé Callum Turner at the world premiere of his new film Rosebush Pruning.
The couple arrived at the Berlinale Palast looking every bit the power pairing. Lipa opted for a romantic sheer lace gown that leaned fully into the holiday’s mood, while Turner kept things classic in a tailored brown suit. Their easy chemistry — complete with smiles, hand squeezes, and quick cheek kisses — quickly became one of the evening’s most photographed moments before Lipa gracefully stepped aside to let Turner take the solo spotlight.
The appearance marks another high-visibility moment for the pair, whose relationship has increasingly intersected with major film industry events as Turner’s profile continues to rise. And at Berlinale, the timing was especially notable, with Turner fronting one of the festival’s buzziest premieres.
Directed by Motel Destino filmmaker Karim Aïnouz, Rosebush Pruning is described as a sharp-edged family satire centered on four wealthy American siblings unraveling under the weight of inheritance, isolation, and long-buried secrets. Turner leads an ensemble that includes Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, Elle Fanning, Lukas Gage, Tracy Letts, and Pamela Anderson, several of whom joined him on the Berlin red carpet.
Inside the festival press conference earlier in the day, Turner fielded one of the industry’s favorite speculative questions: whether he might be the next James Bond. With a knowing smile, the actor kept things firmly noncommittal, calling the speculation “very early” and declining to elaborate. Co-star Tracy Letts quickly defused the moment with a joke that he was actually the next 007, drawing laughs and giving Turner an easy out.
Still, the Bond chatter underscores Turner’s current career moment. Between prestige festival appearances and growing studio interest, the actor is clearly entering a new phase of visibility — one that makes high-profile red carpet support from Lipa all the more headline-friendly.
POPULAR ON THE CINEMA GROUP
As for Berlinale, the surprise Valentine’s Day appearance delivered exactly the kind of crossover pop culture moment major festivals increasingly welcome: a blend of film prestige, celebrity heat, and social media immediacy.
And judging by the cameras flashing across the Berlinale Palast carpet, the moment landed exactly as intended.
