‘The Gentlemen’ Season 2 Sets September Premiere Date at Netflix
Netflix
Theo James and Kaya Scodelario return as Eddie and Susie when Guy Ritchie’s Netflix action-comedy continues Sept. 3.
‘The Gentlemen’ is officially returning to Netflix this fall.
The streamer has set Sept. 3 as the premiere date for Season 2 of Guy Ritchie’s action-comedy series, which continues the story of Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass as their uneasy criminal partnership expands beyond familiar territory. Netflix also released a first-look teaser for the new season.
Season 2 picks up one year after Eddie, played by Theo James, and Susie, played by Kaya Scodelario, joined forces within Bobby Glass’ criminal empire. This time, the business has gone overseas, and expansion brings new pressure, new risks and new questions about whether Bobby, played by Ray Winstone, is still making sound decisions.
According to the official logline, Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing everything as Bobby’s choices become increasingly unstable. But in true ‘Gentlemen’ fashion, ambition comes with a cost, and “unfettered ambition never ends well.”
James, Scodelario and Winstone are all returning for the second season, alongside Joely Richardson and Vinnie Jones. Season 2 will also add several new faces, including Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellitto, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, British professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr. and TV host, broadcaster and entrepreneur Maya Jama.
POPULAR ON THE CINEMA GROUP
Ritchie created the series, which is based on his 2019 film of the same name. He also serves as writer, executive producer and director. Matthew Read is also a writer and executive producer, while Eran Creevy directs in Season 2. Will Gould, Frith Tiplady and Simon Crawford Collins of Moonage Pictures executive produce alongside Ivan Atkinson. Laura Jackson and Max Keene serve as producers.
The series is produced by Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, and Miramax Television.
‘The Gentlemen’ proved to be a strong performer for Netflix when it debuted in March 2024, spending 10 weeks on the streamer’s Global Top 10 English-language TV chart. The second season now gives Netflix another crime-driven returning series for its fall lineup, with Ritchie’s familiar mix of underworld scheming, sharp banter and class-war criminal absurdity back at the center.
Season 2 of ‘The Gentlemen’ premieres Sept. 3 on Netflix.
