SAG-AFTRA, NETFLIX

Kristen Bell hosts as Hollywood’s biggest actors race toward Oscar night at the newly rebranded ceremony.

The 2026 Actor Awards — formerly known as the SAG Awards — are underway at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, with Kristen Bell returning as host and Netflix streaming the ceremony live.

The rebrand aligns the ceremony with its iconic trophy, “The Actor,” and reflects SAG-AFTRA’s full union identity. But beyond the new name, the night remains one of the most influential stops on the road to the Academy Awards.

Fifteen competitive categories across film and television are on the ballot tonight, led by the marquee Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture prize — the guild’s equivalent of Best Picture.

This year’s ensemble nominees — Frankenstein (Netflix), Hamnet (Focus Features), Marty Supreme (A24), One Battle After Another (Warner Bros.) and Sinners (Warner Bros.) — are all also nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. The category has proven increasingly predictive in recent years, though 2025 saw Conclave win the SAG ensemble prize before losing Best Picture to Anora, breaking a three-year streak where SAG’s ensemble winner went on to claim the Oscar.

Historically, SAG-AFTRA’s acting categories have aligned even more closely with the Academy. The Actors Branch remains the largest voting bloc within AMPAS, making tonight’s wins particularly meaningful for contenders including Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Emma Stone (Bugonia), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another) and Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), who won here last year for A Complete Unknown.

On the television side, fresh ensemble battles are shaping up. A new Drama Ensemble winner is guaranteed after last year’s victory for Shōgun. In Comedy Ensemble, Only Murders in the Building and The Bear return as past winners, while Apple TV+’s The Studio and HBO Max’s The Pitt arrive as reigning Emmy champions.

Additional categories to watch include the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series race, where The Studio’s Catherine O’Hara remains nominated following her death on January 30 — a poignant moment expected during the ceremony.

Harrison Ford will receive the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award, and presenters include Sterling K. Brown, Chase Infiniti, Timothée Chalamet, Wunmi Mosaku and Lisa Kudrow.

Below is the full nominees list. Check back throughout the evening as winners are announced and this list updates live.
