A24’s The Moment brought together pop, fashion, and film worlds as Charli xcx and Kylie Jenner led a high-profile Los Angeles premiere in Beverly Hills.
The Moment centers on Charli, playing a fictionalized version of herself, as she embarks on her first arena tour in the wake of a massively successful album. As the tour escalates, so does the pressure — turning fame, expectation, and self-mythology into something volatile and difficult to control. The film frames celebrity as performance, surveillance, and psychological fracture, placing Charli at the center of a narrative that mirrors the pop-industrial machine orbiting her.
That tension carried directly onto the red carpet in Beverly Hills, where A24 hosted the Los Angeles premiere at the Fine Arts Theatre on January 29. The arrivals reflected the film’s intersection of music, fashion, and contemporary celebrity — a crowd less about traditional Hollywood hierarchy and more about cultural proximity.
Charli xcx arrived as the focal point of the evening, photographed multiple times throughout arrivals both solo and alongside collaborators. She was joined repeatedly by Kylie Jenner, who stars in the film and emerged as one of the night’s most photographed attendees. The two appeared together across several moments on the carpet, including group shots that quickly became the visual shorthand of the premiere.
Jenner was also photographed independently and with close collaborators, including Aidan Zamiri and Trew Mullen, reinforcing her dual role as both cast member and cultural lightning rod. Their repeated appearances together gave the carpet a looser, more communal feel than a typical premiere lineup.
Demi Lovato attended the premiere with Jordan Lutes, marking one of the evening’s most high-profile non-cast arrivals. Chappell Roan also made a striking appearance, continuing her ascent as one of pop’s most visible emerging voices. Tove Lo, Scout Willis, Gabbriette Bechtel, and Hailey Gates rounded out a guest list that leaned heavily into music-forward and fashion-adjacent circles.

The event also drew creatives from across film and art. Director Joachim Trier, recently recognized as a Best Director nominee, attended with Helle Bendixen Trier, adding an auteur presence to the evening. Filmmaker Gregg Araki and actor-writer Kate Berlant were also spotted on the carpet, reinforcing A24’s ongoing alignment with boundary-pushing storytellers across mediums.
Rather than feeling rigidly staged, the arrivals unfolded organically — with group photos, repeated pairings, and informal moments suggesting a premiere designed as much for documentation as for spectacle. By the time guests moved inside, the carpet had already established The Moment not just as a film release, but as a cultural snapshot — one rooted in visibility, collaboration, and the performance of self.
