The festival is doubling down on its global reputation, with work spanning continents, genres, and cinematic traditions.

Tickets for TIFF Members go on sale beginning Friday, August 15, with public sales opening Monday, August 25. Given the scope of this year’s lineup—and the festival’s position as a launchpad for award season contenders—early planning will be essential for anyone hoping to catch the buzziest premieres before they dominate the fall conversation.

The 50th anniversary milestone comes as TIFF continues to expand its cultural footprint, with the upcoming launch of TIFF: The Market in 2026 and an estimated $240 million CAD annual economic impact. As ever, the real draw remains the films themselves—and in 2025, Toronto looks ready to remind the world why it remains one of cinema’s most essential stages.
