The Toronto International Film Festival has added five films to its 2026 Special Presentations programme, expanding the Official Selection ahead of the festival’s 51st edition this September.

The newly announced titles are David and Nathan Zellner’s Alpha Gang, Benjamín Naishtat’s Glaxo, Rachel Morrison’s Love of Your Life, Ben Shirinian’s The Housewife and Bassam Tariq’s Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother. Four of the films will make their world premieres at TIFF, while Alpha Gang will receive its international premiere.

TIFF Chief Programming Officer Anita Lee described the selections as films that reflect the current moment while showcasing the authenticity, unpredictability and ambition of contemporary cinema. The group spans established filmmakers, emerging directors and anticipated follow-up projects expected to generate significant conversation throughout the festival.
