The Death of Robin Hood follows an aging Robin Hood as he confronts the consequences of a violent life built around crime, rebellion, and bloodshed. After suffering a devastating injury during what he believed would be his final battle, Robin finds himself in the care of a mysterious woman who offers him something he never expected: a chance at redemption. Rather than focusing on the mythologized hero audiences know, the story shifts toward mortality, regret, and a man forced to reckon with the life he lived.

Written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, whose previous work includes Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One, the A24 film stars Hugh Jackman as Robin Hood alongside Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe. The project reimagines the legendary character through a darker psychological lens, positioning itself as a more grounded and emotional interpretation of the classic folklore figure.
