Set in an alternate version of New York City, One Night Only follows Allie and Owen, two strangers who unexpectedly cross paths on the one night each year when single people are legally allowed to have sex. Recently dumped and still navigating heartbreak, Owen collides with hopeful romantic Allie as both search for something deeper than a meaningless encounter. As a series of detours, mishaps, and unexpected moments continue pulling them together and apart throughout the city, the pair begin realizing they may be searching for more than they originally thought.

Written and directed by Will Gluck, whose previous credits include Easy A, Friends With Benefits, and Anyone But You, One Night Only stars Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner alongside Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, Molly Ringwald, LeVar Burton, King Princess, Ben Marshall, and Ziwe. Universal Pictures will release the romantic comedy in theaters on August 7, 2026.
