Marvel’s 2025 TV Slate Revealed

Marvel Studios officially unveiled its 2025 slate of series for Disney+ in a thrilling new sizzle reel released on Wednesday. The preview included first looks at live-action series like Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, and Wonder Man, alongside animated offerings such as Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda, and Marvel Zombies. The collection of new shows aims to deliver a mix of nostalgia and fresh storylines that will keep Marvel fans hooked all year.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, set to debut on January 29, kicks off the Marvel slate with an animated series that explores Peter Parker’s early years as Spider-Man. The show promises to introduce new characters to the Spider-Man mythos, including Nico Minoru, previously seen in Runaways, and Amadeus Cho, a character who becomes a new Hulk in the comics.

The much-anticipated Daredevil: Born Again, set to premiere on March 4, gives fans a deeper look at the series that picks up where Netflix’s Daredevil left off after three seasons. Fans can expect to see the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. The teaser also included glimpses of the masked villain, Muse, adding to the anticipation for the revival of the beloved show.

On June 24, Ironheart will make its debut, continuing the story of Riri Williams, the young genius first introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The teaser reveals Riri’s advancements in her super suit, with hints of the battle against Parker Robbins, also known as the Hood, played by Anthony Ramos. The series sets the stage for an engaging battle of ideals, highlighting the blurred lines between heroics and questionable actions.

Marvel’s animated series lineup includes the four-episode Eyes of Wakanda, set to premiere on August 6, which will explore the stories of the Wakandan War Dogs throughout history as they work to recover vibranium artifacts. Marvel Zombies, Marvel’s first TV-MA animated show, will bring a horror twist to the superhero genre in October 2025, featuring zombified versions of Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, and Clint Barton.

Perhaps the most exciting reveal in the sizzle reel was a glimpse of Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Scheduled for release in December 2025, the show will offer a meta-comedy twist on Hollywood, with Abdul-Mateen playing Simon Williams, an actor auditioning to become the superhero Wonder Man. Fans can also look forward to seeing Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Slattery, who crosses paths with Simon, adding some humor and familiar Marvel flavor to the new series.

Marvel Studios also announced the upcoming third and final season of What If…?, which will explore even more alternative storylines in the multiverse. The season is scheduled to begin on December 22, following a similar daily release pattern as its second season.

Despite previous comments by Disney CEO Bob Iger about reducing Marvel’s TV output, the 2025 slate includes an ambitious nine titles across live-action and animated series, along with three feature films. The new content slate, combining nostalgia, new character arcs, and familiar faces, sets the stage for another packed year in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, delighting fans who have been eagerly awaiting what comes next.
