Tyler, the Creator makes his film debut alongside Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme, an A24 production about a professional ping pong player. The project marks Safdie’s first solo directorial effort since 2008 and adds another accolade to Tyler’s impressive resume.

Tyler, the Creator is set to join Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow in Josh Safdie’s latest project Marty Supreme. Six years after Tyler famously mentioned Chalamet in his lyrics, the two stars will share the screen in this A24 production. Best known for directing Uncut Gems and Good Time with his brother Benny, Safdie is venturing into his first solo feature film in over a decade.

Plot details for Marty Supreme remain under wraps, but it’s rumored to center around a professional ping pong player. This film also marks Tyler, the Creator’s big-screen acting debut. Known for his multifaceted career, Tyler has previously co-created and starred in Loiter Squad and The Jellies!, as well as the docuseries Nuts + Bolts.

In addition to his burgeoning film career, Tyler has continued to dominate the music and fashion worlds. The Grammy-winning artist headlined Coachella in 2024 and runs his own music festival, Camp Flog Gnaw. Through his lifestyle brands Golf Wang and Le Fleur, Tyler has collaborated with major brands like Converse and Lacoste and even designed a collection for Louis Vuitton.

Meanwhile, Safdie continues to grow his filmography. Following Marty Supreme, Safdie is also working with Adam Sandler on a sports memorabilia movie, having recently directed Sandler’s Netflix comedy special Love You. With an all-star cast and Safdie at the helm, Marty Supreme is sure to be another exciting addition to A24’s lineup.
