though the studio is not confirming any connection.

A new collaboration is underway between Robert Pattinson, A24, and acclaimed director Lance Oppenheim. Titled Primetime, this upcoming project marks Oppenheim's first scripted feature film, and Pattinson is stepping into the producer's role for the film. Primetime is backed by A24, which has swiftly positioned itself as a leader in bold and innovative filmmaking.

The film, which has a screenplay by Ajon Singh, follows the story of a journalist who tackles the world of crime in a truly unique manner, ultimately reshaping the way audiences perceive investigative television. The concept seems to draw inspiration from To Catch a Predator, the iconic 2000s reality TV series in which Chris Hansen orchestrated sting operations targeting adults attempting to meet minors for inappropriate encounters. However, A24 has not confirmed any official ties to the infamous reality show, choosing instead to keep details about the inspiration under wraps.

For Pattinson, Primetime represents another foray into the production world. Though he will not star in the project, the actor will produce under his Icki Eneo Arlo banner. Over the past few years, Pattinson has continued to push boundaries in the industry, taking on diverse roles and stepping into new areas of creative production, proving his artistic versatility. Production on Primetime is expected to begin in the early months of next year, suggesting an efficient timeline to bring this project to audiences soon.

Lance Oppenheim is poised to direct and executive produce alongside screenwriter Ajon Singh. Known for his unique approach to blending documentary and narrative filmmaking, Oppenheim made a splash with HBO's Ren Faire series, as well as the critically acclaimed documentaries Spermworld and Some Kind of Heaven. His storytelling style, which typically sits at the intersection of the real and the surreal, is likely to add a distinct flavor to Primetime, making it a highly anticipated project for film enthusiasts.

Primetime will also benefit from an impressive roster of producers. Pattinson's Icki Eneo Arlo banner will produce alongside Brighton McCloskey, Range Media Partners' Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger, and Square Peg's Lars Knudsen, Ari Aster, and Tyler Campellone. The involvement of Square Peg, the company behind Ari Aster's own directorial efforts like Midsommar and Hereditary, suggests a project that will not shy away from pushing the envelope in its storytelling.

Executive producers for the film include William Iannaccone and A.J. Bourscheid on behalf of Range Media, as well as Emily Hildner for Square Peg. With such a powerhouse team in place, Primetime promises to be an ambitious and compelling addition to A24's already illustrious catalog of groundbreaking films.

Robert Pattinson is currently enjoying a flourishing career, with several exciting projects lined up. He will next be seen starring in Bong Joon-ho's highly anticipated film Mickey 17, followed by his return as the Dark Knight in The Batman Part Two, set to shoot next year. His ongoing collaborations with some of the most renowned filmmakers of our time continue to demonstrate his wide-ranging talents both on and off the screen.

Lance Oppenheim, meanwhile, is represented by UTA, Iconoclast, and Johnson Shapiro, while Pattinson is repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Sloane Offer. Ajon Singh is represented at Untitled Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham.

With Primetime, Pattinson, Oppenheim, and A24 appear ready to delve into the darker aspects of humanity and explore the nature of crime and media representation—a story that could very well challenge audiences' views on justice and journalism. As production begins next year, viewers can look forward to what promises to be a thrilling and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
